Three hundred pieces, and various documents concerning the cultural influence of the cubism, compose this exposition articulated chronologically in fourteen chapters. The journey highlights the jumping evolution of the cubism since the primitive roots and the fascination of the cubists Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso for Gauguin and Cézanne.
A movement, experimental and collective, whose revolutionary esthetic is simultaneously “matrice” and language of the modernity.
The journey wants to enlarge a traditional vision concentrated on the most famous names of the cubist movement, by highlighting secondary artists like Gleizes and Metzinger; or different as Francis Picabia, Marcel Duchamp, Robert and Sonia Delaunay. Those last exhibited in official Parisian galleries when the pioneers dedicated their experimental creation for only one unknown merchant, Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler.
